Are you always looking for new dog walks around your area so you don’t get bored? There are loads of great dog walks in Wakefield and I’ll keep you updated as I do shoots in those areas, so be sure to check out my other blog posts.
Anglers Country Park, which is between Wakefield and Barnsley, is a good circular walk around picturesque Wintersett lake. It offers a large free car park and there are toilets and a play area nearby. There’s even a cafe for those who get peckish on a walk. I should confess though, I’ve never been in so I’m not sure what the food’s like. The walk is fully accessible which makes it wheelchair and push chair friendly.
For those who want a longer walk, there’s Haw Park woods close by which has easy, well-defined paths to follow. I wouldn’t advise you take a wheelchair or push chair in there though. Check out my pictures from Angers Country Park to see the walk and what I could do for you.
The walk is nice and flat and it is only short making it ideal to take children out for a wonder or for them to ride their bikes. You can check it out on Viewranger for free.
Don’t forget to contact me if you like what you see and would like to arrange a free session.
