Rabbit Ings is a great place to take your dog. It has clearly defined paths the whole way around and it is impossible to get lost. It is easily accessible with it being located between Shafton and Royston and there is a large free car park on site which sometimes has an ice-cream van.
Are you always looking for new dog walks around your area so you don’t get bored? There are loads of great dog walks in Wakefield and I’ll keep you updated as I do shoots in those areas, so be sure to check out my other blog posts.
Anglers Country Park, which is between Wakefield and Barnsley, is a good circular walk around picturesque Wintersett lake. It offers a large free car park and there are toilets and a play area nearby. There’s even a cafe for those who get peckish on a walk. I should confess though, I’ve never been in so I’m not sure what the food’s like. The walk is fully accessible which makes it wheelchair and push chair friendly.
If you are looking for great places to walk the dog near Barnsley then you have come to the right place; there are a load of walks where your dog can be off-lead in Barnsley and Worsbrough Mill is one of them. It is easily accessible and a safe place to let your pooch run free. Half of the walk consists of woodland and the other a good path around the lake – this was a fantastic place to take some snaps, especially in the snow.
